We, the family of Pearl Ann Campbell, regret to announce her passing on Sunday, March 19, 2023, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born January 7, 1943, in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late John Arthur and Margaret Anne “Peggy” (Wright) MacLeod.
Pearl is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Gushue, Sydney; son, John (Christina) Campbell, Grand Mira North; grandchildren, Devon, Miranda and Emma-Jean Campbell and Kristin and Tyler Gushue; brother, Jim (Gennie) MacLeod, Whitney Pier; several nieces and nephews; and her fur buddy, Snowball.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Archibald “Archie” Campbell; sisters, Eleanor MacLeod and Betty Vekeman; brothers, Gordon and Kenneth MacLeod; nieces, Marie MacLeod and Noreen Macdonald; and nephew, Vincent Macdonald.
Funeral service will be held in Sydney Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 25 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Paul Murphy officiating. There will be a meet & greet before the service starting at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
We would like to thank the staff in the Dialysis Department of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Dr. Hewlett and Handi-Trans for their kind and compassionate care.
