Paul Eugene Davis
1960-2023
Paul Eugene Davis, 62, of Shepody passed away on February 17,
2023 at the Dr. Georges L-Dumont Hospital after a lengthy
struggle with Kidney Failure. Paul was born in
Shepody on June 27, 1960 the son of the late Thomas and Katie (Tucker)
Davis.
Paul lived his whole life in Shepody and loved his
farm. He enjoyed everything to do with farming, being
outdoors in the hay fields, watching his cattle in the pasture from
his living room window and every aspect. He worked hard and
continued farming even when he was not feeling well but his
persistence and love of doing what he did helped him continue
on. He was proud of his children and was so glad
that his boys were around to help him. He showed his family
what hard work was and a sign of a good farmer is
calloused hands and dirty boots. Not
working from sunrise to sunset but until the job is done. He
didn’t want a lot of fuss made over him and liked to laugh and share
stories. He will be missed by his family and
friends. « Forever in our hearts »
He will be deeply missed by his children, Natalie Mielke
(Ryan) of Alberta, Neil Davis of Shepody and Nigel Davis (Reagan) of
Shepody; his grandsons, Shawn and Alex, we are sure his grandchild on
the way will be told lots of stories of his grampie Paul; sisters,
Linda Upham (Fraser) of Hopewell Hill and Judy Best (Charlie) of
Weldon; brothers, Ernest Davis (Gloria) of Pine Glen and Dean Davis of
Ontario; sister-in-law, Connie Davis of NS; brothers-in-law, Albert
Claridge of Edgett’s Landing and Leland Lyman of West River.
He will also be missed by close nephew, Mark Steeves of Lower Cape and
by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters,
Edna May Davis, Carol Steeves (Mike), Phyllis DeWolfe (Meldon), Sheila
Claridge, Brenda Lyman; brother, Thomas Jr. Davis.
There will be a time of visitation at the Albert County
Funeral Home on Sunday, Feb
19th evening from 6-9pm. A
Celebration of life will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Feb.
20th, 2023 at 2:00pm. Interment will be in the Hopewell
Cemetery at a later date.
