Patricia « Patsy » L. Smith
1954-2023
Patricia Laura Smith, of St. George, NB and formerly of Carleton
County, NB, peacefully lost her battle with liver disease at the
Saint John Regional Hospital on February 14th, 2023. Born on April
26th, 1954, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary McAloon.
Patricia was predeceased by her first husband, Tom Spires and her
second husband, Ralph Smith.
Mom had such a big heart, and a love for people which lead to a
wonderful nursing career. Her love of travel took her to Spain, NYC,
Tennessee, and Niagara Falls. She loved sunny, Sunday drives.
Patsy, as she liked to be called, is survived by her two daughters,
Amanda (Chris) Scott and Ann Marie (Corey) Wilcox; her five
grandchildren, Austin, Brandon, Phillip, Vanessa and Gage; Brothers,
Greg (Judy) McAloon and Peter (Susan) McAloon; her loving sister,
Katherine (Claude) Butler; several nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
Full of Faith, she was a proud, long time member of CWL, Red Hat
Society and Girl Guides of Canada. A devout parishioner, Patsy had a
love for the social life and had been the « life of the
party ».
She touched lives everywhere she went.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, February 18th at
11:00 am from St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Florenceville-Bristol, NB

adjoining cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial
donations made to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be
appreciated.
