July 17, 1956 – February 3, 2023
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother,grandmother,sister,aunt and friend Patricia Mary Coombs(nee Making)on february 3rd 2023 at age 66.
Waiting for her with open arms,her beloved husband Gerard who they had 43 wonderful years together.
Predeceased by husband Gerard,her parents John Sr and Marion Making,her brother John Jr and sister Bridie,inlaws Adrian and Regina Coombs,brothers in law Paul Coombs and Walter Osmond as well as nephews Chris McCarthy and Billy Molloy.
Left with fond and loving memories are her son Calvin(Kelly),daughter Nicole Kenny(Andy) and son Shane. Seven beautiful grandchildren Madison(Jack),Cortney,Ashton(Anica),Reese,Owen,Milton and Cora and her furry companion Sadie.
Also left to moun are her brothers Frank(Geri),Ed(Joan),Dick(Maureen),Don(Pauline),Derry(Linda) and Pat;sisters Ann Hayward(Des),Ellen Finlay(Roy),Cynthia Hicks(Dick);brothers in law Philip(June),Glen(Tina),Scott(Pauleen);sisters in law Agnes McCarthy(Aiden),Catherine Osmond(Richard), Gloria Molloy(Matt) and Barb St.Croix, as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews.
Tina(known to many by this name) spent her life surrounded by family and friends. She grew up in St.Stephens and went to work at the fishplant in Trepassey where she met her husband and moved to Portugal Cove South to start their family.Tina was often seen at many bingo halls on the Southern Shore. She and Gerard operated Second Cove Convenience from 2000 to 2012 where she was often seen leaning on the counter having a yarn with the customers. Tina loved to spend her time with her grandchildren and on many road trips to St.Mary,s Bay and all places in between with her husband and family.
Special thanks to family and friends who were there for mom in her time of need,especially the past few months when mom’s illness progressed.
Cremation has taken place and as per mom’s wishes there will be no wake or funeral at this time. A burial will take place at a later date.
