MacAulay – (Laplante) – Patricia Anne
We are sad to announce the passing of Patti on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the age of 69. Survived by her husband Danny Laplante for 43 years; sons John Laplante (Faye) and Lee Laplante; grandchildren Thomas, Logan and Ethen Laplante; sisters Anita MacAuley-Grant (late Bob) and Deborah Cole (Stephen) and many nieces and nephews.
Although dementia robbed Patti of many things over the last years, we will always remember her at her best, as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Family was so important, she loved nothing better than to cook a feast for 40 people and enjoy seeing her loved ones gather together.
She was also a smart and successful career woman who later happily ran a day care from her home. She was a devoted church member who sang in the choir and at weddings and funerals. Generous and kind, she could not stand to see a person or animal go hungry or unloved. Fierce and unafraid, no one could have a stronger advocate in their corner. She loved music and books, cats and silver earrings, good food and wine. She loved and was loved.
Friends may attend a visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Friday, February 23rd from 11 am until time of memorial service in the chapel at 1:30 pm.
Those wishing may make memorial donations to the Dementia Society.
