Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the families and friends of Nancy Millicent Parsons (nee Burden) of Woody Point, Bonne Bay, NL announce her peaceful passing in the loving presence of her brother Bobby and wife Marlene, on Friday March 8th, 2024, at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Point.
Nancy dealt with many medical issues throughout her life but the biggest challenge that she had to deal with was the loss of her beloved daughter Angela.
Leaving to mourn with wonderful memories are her husband of 60 years, Ralph. Son-in-law, Rodney. Brothers and Sisters: Don (Shirley) Payne, Woodrow (Marie), Jerry (Ina), Thelma (David), Bobby (Marlene). Sisters-in-laws: Ida Burden, Ada (Herb) Norris and Daphne (Abe) Pittman. Also left to mourn are her many nieces and nephews and relatives as well as very special friends Colleen and Ivernia, who Nancy always referred to as her adopted daughter and sister.
Nancy was pre-deceased by her children: baby daughter Daphne (December 19th, 1963 – April 23rd, 1964) and daughter Angela (August 19th, 1965 – August 10th, 2019). Her parents Una and Chesley Burden. Her mother-in-law Myrtle (Coombs) Parsons. Her father-in-law and step-mother-in-law Don and Rosie Parsons. Also pre-deceased by her brother James Burden and baby brother Levi Burden and special uncles Wallace and Charles Coombs.
Special thanks go to her home care workers Wendy and Barb as well as Dr. Hughes and all of the staff at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Point. Your caring and kindness will not be forgotten.
A memorial service will be held at Parsons Funeral Home in Deer Lake on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024, at 1:30 pm. Officiated by Ruby Sharpe.
