Obituary of Minnie Geraldine Sheaves
Minnie Geraldine Sheaves, 81, New Glasgow, formerly of East Uniacke, passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 2, 2024, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Agnes (Sullivan) Sheaves. Minnie was employed with Moirs Chocolates, Dartmouth for many years. Minnie enjoyed driving her truck, four-wheeling, hunting, and fishing with her late partner, Boots. She enjoyed playing Bingo at First Lake Bingo Hall, buying scratch tickets and spending time with her dog, Poncho. Minnie lived a full life and will be dearly missed by those she loved.
Surviving are her daughter, Tabitha Sheaves (John Murray), Trenton; sons, Sean (Bonnie) Sheaves, Cole Harbour; Mark (Jan) Sheaves, Mount Uniacke; stepdaughter, JoAnn Gilfillan, Boston; stepson, Gordon Jr. (Cheryl) Lively, Halifax; grandchildren, Kayleigh Bennett, Alyssa (Marco) Bennett, Charles Bennett, Jarrett Sheaves, Travis Sheaves, Kieran Sheaves, Brenna Sheaves, Katherine (Tim) Armstrong, Talia Sheaves, Shar-day, DeSean, Bria, Jahlysa, Armani, Aaliyah, Toni, Ra-Lynn and Ki; great-grandchildren, Archie Brackett, Macie White, Spencer Phillips and Ezra Phillips; sisters, Margaret Sheaves-McMurray and Susan Sheaves; brother, Jack Sheaves; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her companion, Gordon “Boots” Lively and nine siblings.
In keeping with Minnie’s wishes, her family will celebrate her life privately.
