It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Marilyn Hillman of LaSalle on June 2, 2024 at the age of 82 with her children by her side.
She was married to her loving husband, late Jim Hillman (2020) for 58 years. Dearest mother to Cheryl Laberi (Lorenzo), John (Amanda), Darren (Serena) and Scott (Michelle).
Amazing Mimi to John-David, Travis, Jack, Devon, Quinn, Corbin, Aryn, Alexis, Michael, Guhnar and Addison. Dear sister of Larry (Elaine), Gary (Linda), Jerry (Maryann) and Kevin (Sherri). She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Daughter of the late Raymond Peltier (1989) and the late Marguerite Peltier (2006).
Mom lived a beautiful life with many passions. One of her passions was teaching. She began teaching in 1959 at OLPH. She also taught at Holy Rosary, St Francis, St. Paul’s and retired from St Rose in 2003. She was a dedicated, energetic, loving and compassionate teacher who absolutely loved her job!
Mom also loved coaching. WOW did she love it!! You could find her on the soccer fields, in the gym and on the track with her students. She also coached her own children on the baseball fields for South Windsor and the Windsor South Canadians. She was the first woman in Ontario to manage a Senior Boys Hardball Team in the Ontario Championships in Thunder Bay.
If she was not on the baseball fields, she was in the hockey arenas watching her sons and grandsons. It was one of her favourite places to be.
Her most favourite times were spent in their backyard on Todd Lane working on their gorgeous gardens and spending countless time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Todd Lane was the gathering spot and the memories are irreplaceable! So much joy!
We would like to thank the staff on Poplar at Huron Lodge. Your care, kindness and compassion helped us through a very difficult time. We are greatly appreciative!

Visitation on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor. Parish prayers at 7:30 pm.
On Friday, family and friends are invited to meet at Sacred Heart Church, 1425 Divine St., LaSalle for visitation at 10:00 am and mass at 10:30 am.
Burial will take place at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
