SANDOLO, Maria (nee Cubicciotti) – Passed away peacefully, with her 16 family members by her side, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Saturday February 4, 2023 at the age of 89. Cherished mother of John (Kathleen Armstrong) Sandolo, Anna Haanappel, Teresa Campbell and Frank Sandolo. Loving Nonna of Tony Armstrong, Brittany Armstrong, Roseann Lundy, Brittany Haanappel (Aaron VanVelzen), Selina Haanappel (James D’Annunzio), Emily (David) Kuijvenhoven, Steven (Brad) Grabell and great-grandchildren Chase Lundy, Justin Lundy, Brody Lundy, Sophia VanVelzen, Benjamin VanVelzen, Willow Butski, Logan Butski and Zoey Butski. Cherished mother-in-law of Kim Sandolo. Maria will be deeply missed by her sister Antonietta Bracca, sisters-in-law Rosetta Cubicciotti, Rosetta Cubicciotti and niece Mary (Ted) Karvelas. She is predeceased by her parents Domenico and Giuseppina Cubicciotti and her siblings Fiore Cubicciotti, Frank Cubicciotti, Vittoria (Luigi) Lenqua. Maria had a heart of gold, her heart was as big as the world. She loved her family above anything else, enjoyed family gatherings and will be forever remembered for her incredible cooking. She was patient and a wise person, who always knew exactly what to say to make you feel better. She was an expert on the book of Proverbs – she could cite each and every one. Scratch tickets were her indulgence, along with her bingo tickets. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Wednesday February 8, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service in celebration of her life will be held Thursday February 9, 2023 at 11 am at the funeral home, with the Rite of Entombment to follow at Fairview Mausoleum.
