Lesley Marie Burnett (June 5, 1960 – December 28, 2022) was taken too soon due to complications from a stroke.
Lesley was loving wife of Rick. Mother to Michael and David and Grammy to Calvin, Myla, Desmond and Ava.
Lesley was a very caring person who invited a number of teenagers with needs of shelter into our home over the years, and treated them like family as long as they needed our help. The one rule was “manners and no fowl language”.
Many years past and most of the people she helped have stayed in touch with her or would come to visit calling her their second mom.
She volunteered with youth ice hockey in many capacities over the years and sat on the Board of Directors of the West Mall Hockey Association as Vice President of House League and Registrar for the entire organization.
She always had to have her second cup of coffee before functioning in the morning and made it well known to anyone asking her questions before then. “I haven’t had my second coffee yet”
She absolutely adores her Grandchildren and would take any opportunity to have them at the house or babysit. Something the grand kids will always remember was Grammy doing crafts with them or playing “I Spy” on the front porch.
She will be missed by many.
There will be no formal service.
