Kevin Andrew Mayo
January 7th, 1968 – December 5, 2022
It’s with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kevin Andrew Mayo, on December 5, 2022, at the Selkirk Regional Health Center.
Kevin was predeceased by his twin brother James Ian; his grandparents, Bruce and Irene Mayo, and Vina and Douglas Pruden. He will be deeply missed and remembered by his best friend and love of his life, Leanne Adams; parents, Rose and Andrew; brother Kyle (Doreen); special nieces Caitlin and Paige (Shannon); Leanne’s family, Wayne, Linda and Ian (Susie), and many aunts, uncles, and cousins and lifelong friend Mike Gibson.
Kevin worked numerous jobs in his life but the one that was closest to his heart was working with and helping people with disabilities. He also had a passion for playing hockey, baseball, football, and martial arts. Kevin had a heart of gold and an amazing sense of humour which was shared with everyone he met. His frequent calls to his mother and Leanne were an important part of their day and will be sadly missed. Kevin was the life of a party; he was a great storyteller. There were many nights having a bonfire with family or staying up late to play a game with his nieces. Kevin and Leanne enjoyed many holidays together. Kevin loved fishing. He enjoyed many days and nights fishing with numerous family and friends, but the times he cherished the most was fishing with his nieces and Jaxon.
A special thanks to Dr. Sayfee, the wonderful staff at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre and to Manitoba homecare.
In keeping with Kevin’s wishes, cremation has taken place, no formal service will be held, and a private family interment will take place at a later date. youtube.com/live/kFKZwGSRaTU
