Obituary of Ivan Harkness
At Wingham & District Hospital on Friday, February 3rd, 2023, Ivan Harkness of Wingham, passed away at the age of 73.
Beloved husband of Lyla (Hickey) Harkness. Devoted dad of Rob Harkness, Craig Harkness Jared Harkness & Traci Ducharme and Leigh Ann Harkness. Cherished grandpa of Jadin, Connor, Anne-Marie and Emily. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jean Mair, Gary & Marlene Harkness, Rick & Laura Harkness, Connie Hickey, Lynn & Elva Hickey, Rod & Linda Hickey, Pam & Calvin Fischer and Kevin & Marg Hickey. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families. Ivan owned and operated Ivan Harkness Sandblasting and C Detailing in Wingham for many years.
Predeceased by his parents James & Florence (Reid) Harkness, brother Doug Harkness and brothers-in-law Gary Mair and Emerson Hickey and nephews Steve Fischer and Shane and Darryl Hickey.
A Celebration of Ivan’s life will be held at the Wingham Legion on Sunday, February 19th from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flower, memorial donations to the Wingham Legion, Br. 180 would be appreciated.
