January 31, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta
Frieda (Faye) Conkling (nee Reimer) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the age of 90 years.
Faye is survived by her son Wade Munford, of Okotoks, AB, and daughter Jacqueline Armstrong, Castlegar, BC, three stepdaughters, Lynn, Meg, and Kathy; two grandchildren, Jamie Armstrong and Robyn Locke; and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Elmer and Shirley Reimer of Calgary, AB, sister and brother-in-law LaVera and Nes Davison of High River, AB, beloved pet Pepper, friend and business partner Ken Black, and as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Faye was predeceased by her spouse Robert Conkling, parents Helena (nee Derksen) and Gerhardt Reimer; and brother Abraham Reimer.
A family graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery (165, 100 Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Conkling’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted.
A Celebration of Faye’s Life will be announced at a later date. Condolences, memories, and photos may also be shared and viewed here.
