1931-2023
REXTON, NB – Drusilla Kingston, 92, passed away
peacefully at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home on Wednesday, March
22nd, 2023. Born in Kouchibouguac, she was the
daughter of the late Elroy and Bessie (Wood) MacDonald.
Drusilla was a lifelong member of the Knox Presbyterian
Church, Kouchibouguac and also a member of the Women’s
Missionary Society (WMS). Drusilla was a caring and helping person.
Her door was always open to anyone that wanted to drop in. She always
had food ready for anyone who needed it.
Drusilla leaves to mourn her three daughters, Lois Parker
(Tony) of Abbotsford, BC, Carol Colpitts of Colpitts Settlement and
Kim Gardiner (Ron) of Miramichi; her three sons, Clarence Kingston
(Sheila) of Moncton, Blair Kingston (Darlene) of Rexton and Ronald
Kingston (Stacy) of Black River; her 17 grandchildren and many
great-grandchildren.
Drusilla will also be sadly missed by her three sisters,
Ellen Smith (late Lawrence) of Moncton, Erma Thompson (late David) of
Ste. Catherines, ON and Della Journey (Ralph) of Welland, ON; two
brothers, Mervin MacDonald of Moncton and Burton MacDonald (Leona) of
Kouchibouguac; as well as by her many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, Drusilla was predeceased by her loving
husband, Elmer Kingston and her son, Blaine Kingston.
Visitation and funeral service for Drusilla will be held
later in the spring and final arrangements will be updated when
completed.
