Died peacefully on April 14, 2024, at the age of 82. Mother to Scott Millar (Sue), and Bob Millar (Tracy). Loving grandmother to Robin, Taryn, and Ruby. Survived by her siblings Bonnie, Linda, Russell, Cheryl, and Robert. Doti was born to Jean and Russell Graul in Montréal on July 24th, 1941, where she lived her early years, spending summers at Lake Magog. She then moved to Oakville with her young family.
Doti found work as a teacher, an administrator, in retail, and as a highly successful account executive working for Compaq Computers. Doti was a lover of crafts spending time at Gifted Hands. She was also an avid antique collector and refinisher and passionately supported the restoration of her beloved The Granary in Oakville. Later in life, she became an Aromatherapist and Personal Support Worker. At the Oakville Club, Doti became a regular entertainer in their annual Cabaret. She was an active member with the Oakville Historical Society for many years.
Music always brought joy to Doti. She loved to dance, sing, and whistle. She also enjoyed inviting her friends and colleagues whose families were not around over for special occasion meals such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Doti was a loving, caring woman with a warm hug and always a friendly smile. She was one of a kind.
The family is forever grateful to Bob Millar for taking such good care of Doti in her later years, as well as the incredible staff at The Manor in Waterdown and Riverside Glen in Guelph.
Details on Doti’s Celebration of Life will be forthcoming.
