Ruth passed away peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the age of 86.
Born in Brampton, Ruth was a daughter of the late Frederick Edward and Muriel Irene (nee Silverthorn) McDonald.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband William ‘Bill’ Brooks in 2011.
Ruth was the much-loved mother of Donna (Gary), Spencer (Heather). Cherished grandmother of Brian (Charlene), Chantelle (Dean), Alisha (Jereme), Kyla (Josh) and great- grandmother of Abbigail, Daphnie, Sadie, Tyler, Regan, and was predeceased by Joshua in 1991.
Family was very important to Ruth and she was always happy to see her grand and great grandchildren. She loved to knit and play golf. Ruth was able to enjoy some trips in her retirement. She enjoyed spending time in her garden with her flowers. Ruth was active in the kennel club and always loved having a dog in the house. She really enjoyed music and was an active member of the lady’s choir.
A private family service of committal and interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.
