Barbara – Ann’s Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Barbara Ann Grant-Anderson who passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital on March 18, 2023.
Born in Canterbury on March 29, 1948, to the late Doug & Betty Ritchie. Barb was predeceased by her husbands Alfred Grant and Frank Anderson, sister Shirley Hawkes and brothers Ralph Ritchie, Paul Ritchie, and Kenny Ritchie.
Barb was a kind and wonderful woman, who loved her family and friends dearly. She was an avid host, the more people sitting around her kitchen table the better. Her passion was driving and going on adventures to explore everything and anything, she would sit and do puzzles to no end, the harder the better, she loved all animals and always wanted to be surrounded by them.
Barb was an amazing and beautiful cook and put that expertise to work at the Woodstock Hospital for 25 years, her homemade potato salad will be missed by many.
Barb leaves to mourn her 3 boys who were her world, Tim, Mark (Kathern), Troy (Monica), and all her grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Tylor (Emily), Trinity, Alexis (Jonny), Tamara, Natasha (Bruce), Elizabeth and Tineeka. She was over the moon over her great-grandchildren, she could not get enough of them, Jax, Micha, Austin, Molly Ann, Lydia, Karl, Liam, and Lucas. She leaves behind her beloved sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, and many dear friends.
Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB
As per Barb’s request, there will be no Funeral Service at this time.
To allow all relatives to make it home, there will be a celebration of life on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Barb’s home in Kirkland. We invite everyone to come and raise a glass to our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Barb will be forever in our hearts; any donations can be made to the Valley Food Bank and or Debec Animal Shelter
