Thelma Scott September 18, 1927 – April 15, 2022
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Thelma Scott on April 15, 2022 at Lookout Ridge at the age of 94. Predeceased by her brother John Ratcliffe (1942), sister Doris Booker (2018), loving husband Graeme (2015) and son Robert (2009) (Yvonne). She leaves behind her loving family who cherished their time with her. Dear mother of Randy (Cathy), adored Grandmother of David, Craig, Corey (Matt) and Bradley (Sarah). Loving Great Grandmother of Lennon, Presley, Graeme and Cameron. Thelma was born and raised in Thorold, ON and graduated from the Mack School of Nursing in St. Catharines in 1948. She worked at the Welland General Hospital and later with the Victorian Order of Nurses as well as the Welland Annex. Thanks to all of the staff and support workers at Lookout Ridge Retirement Centre who were so kind and helpful during her time there and a special thanks and gratitude to Tania, Joanne, Anita and Linda who went above and beyond in caring for Thelma, enhancing her quality of life during her final years. The family will receive friends at the Pelham Funeral Home, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill, on Wednesday April 20, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. The service to celebrate Thelma’s life will take place at the funeral home on Thursday April 21, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Pleasantview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the War Amps or the MS Society of Canada. Online condolences may be shared at www.pelhamfuneralhome.ca
