Obituary of Ron Wile
Wile Ronald “Ron” Howard – 87 of Hants County, peacefully passed away at home in Summerville on July 18th, 2022. Born in Windsor on June 14th, 1935, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Violet (Thompson) Wile. His family deeply grieves his loss; Ron had faced death many times, most did not believe this day would come.
The object of his greatest affection; being his wife Agnes (aka Doll), his partner through life for 67 years. He was a strong man and devout servant of God and his family being his legacy.
Taking fashion cues from no one, his signature style was a plaid shirt neatly tucked into his blue jeans and his long underwear; from fashion designer « Fruit of the Loom ». Ron excelled at many things and loved to share his talents. Playing guitar for his church congregation, fixing engines, building the perfect woodpile and one could find him on his trusty steed, his tractor and favorite being Old Blue. He loved the woods and land, lovingly cared for his animals and raised eight children: handing his woodpile perfectionism down to his boys.
He was interested in both current and historical events. Ron enjoyed many interests, from politics to wrestling and hockey with merriment in his blue eyes. Just as he thought he was too old to fall in love again, he became grandad to 17, as well as a great grandfather to 30 and great great-grandfather to one. Ron’s face would light up with every call and visit.
Ron is survived by his wife Agnes, his boys Bertram (Beryl), Ronald Jr. (Dorothy), Allan
(Donna), Kim (Crystal) and his three girls Joyce (Clarence) Hart, Kemberly Harvey, and Marion (Ted) Doane; his siblings, Laurie (Marilyn), Albert (Lennie) and Arlyne Spencer.
Ron is predeceased by his brothers Melbourne, Basil and Alvin, sister Sylvia and his beloved son Wayne and grandson Greg.
For those wishing to express condolences, visitation will be held on Friday, July 22 7-9pm in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville.
