On October 27, 2022, Robert Mathew Hale of Sherwood Park passed peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 64.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 40 years, Suzan; and children, Marina (Zoé), Mathew (Alana), and Marco (Christine).
Robert is the sixth child born to the large family of Joseph and Ruby (Allen) Hale in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. He is survived by his siblings, Grace, Shirley, Donald, Marilyn, and David; as well as all the family connections that come from a family so large. Sadly, Rob was pre-deceased by his parents and brother, Norman.
In his early years, Rob made lifelong friendships travelling the world and on the ski slopes, which he maintained until his passing. However, his greatest adventure began after marrying Zsuzsi, and becoming a dad. Nothing was more important to Rob than being a present father and son and sharing his time and knowledge with those he loved. Rob had an uncanny ability to spark laughter in all those around him and to turn any situation into a teachable moment with his children. He was at his happiest listening to CBC Radio with a coffee in hand, driving his MGA, or tending to his grass.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, at Foster-McGarvey Funeral Home located at 10011 114 St NW, Edmonton.
