Robert Bobby John Daniel Whiston 2022

Robert «Bobby»‘s Obituary
It is a with great sadness, and the heaviest of hearts that we the family of Robert John Daniel Whiston “Bobby” announce his passing. Robert, 32 of Aylesford, exited this world August 31,2022 in the QEII-Halifax Infirmary, he was born January 6,1990 to the late Robin Crouse and Daniel Whiston. Living the only child part of his life for just three years before he was blessed with a little sister and then a little brother. He was the first child, making it completely understandable he had an imaginary friend named Coconut. The same friend he forced his mom to buckle in the car and buy extra treats for (Kyle said it best “put the lime in the coconut bud”, a discreet line he said when Bobby angered him.) The teasing never did stop Katie carried on the torch. Katie is who he spent the last few years a little angry at claiming she was “moms’ favourite”. In reality they both were loved equally. He is survived by his loving girlfriend, Catherine “Cat” O’Dell of Aylesford; father, Daniel of Kingston; sister, Katie (Hal) of Somerset and her children, Elliott, Elise, Elijah, and Everett; niece, Paige of Kennetcook; uncles, Douglas, Rooster (Dawn), Wilmot, Michael, Richard (Tammy), Wolfville. The cousins and friends near and dear to him, know who they are. He was predeceased by brother, Kyle; mother, Robin, both of who he shared special friendships with; maternal grandparents, Robert and Kathleen Crouse; paternal grandparents, John and Ena Whiston; cousin, Michael Crouse. In Bobby’s younger years he was always with his “posse” of cousins. They spent their “experimental” years, partying together and always having each other’s backs. And in later years, no matter how much time had passed since the last time they chatted those bonds never went away. Bobby was the life of the party, and his laughter and smile could light up a room. If you’re reading this, you likely knew Bobby and can contest to him being one of the funniest people you knew. He told a joke like no other and had the hugest heart, making it hard to be mad at him, even when he likely deserved it. He was an animal lover, a car lover, and a collector of “things”. He was the best driver, best cook, best dressed … I mean some of these things were true but mostly just his own opinion of himself. (Sorry he got the funny genes not the rest of us). If you had the honour, of seeing Bobby recently you’d likely recall witnessing the love he had for Cat. She was his missing puzzle piece, the other half of his soul. The one he was going to marry, and he made that known. I’m sure his moms giving him a stern talking to, for coming to heaven so early. But I’m more then certain she’s got him tightly wrapped in her arms happy to see him. Bobby wouldn’t want you to be sad, he’d want you to celebrate his life. Crack a cold one, do some wheelies. Tell a joke, make someone laugh. Share stories of him, sneak a kid some extra treats, pet a dog, snuggle a kitten, take part in all the things Bobby loved. Most importantly love your family a little harder. Cremation has taken place. As per Bobby’s request there will be no funeral. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to your local SPCA. The online guest book may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
