It is with profound sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Pierina Scatamburlo (nee Caverzan) on December 29, 2022, at 89 years of age.
Predeceased by her loving husband Renato (2013). Cherished mother to Valerie and husband John D’Annibale. Beloved daughter and daughter-in-law of the late Gaetano and Genoeffa Caverzan and Angelo and Clara Scatamburlo. Predeceased by siblings Columbina (Michael) Woodfine, Cornelio (Edie) Caverzan, Inez (James) Strang and Reno (Anna) Caverzan, in-laws Avelina and Angelo Verardo, Savina Piccin and Dominic Chemello. Survived by sister Nina, sister-in-law Laura and husband Leno Uliana. Pierina was a kind-hearted woman who will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends as well as many others whose lives she touched in her very special way.
Pierina was a retired bookkeeper from Etna Foods Limited, an avid reader, and a member of the Trevisani Nel Mondo. The family extends their sincerest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff members at Windsor Regional Hospital-Ouellette campus and those at Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital in the Palliative unit for their superb caregiving and support.
