The family is deeply saddened to announce his passing on Tuesday, January 25, 2021 at the age of 69 at home surrounded by his family. Those of you that were in Ollie’s circle knew he took life day by day, complained very little and was thankful for the little things in life and he loved being with family and friends.
Ollie was born in Walkerton and he leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Brenda, his children, Michelle (Barry) Hynes, Melissa (Mike) Franquist, and Laura (Larry) Schweitzer. He was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Bernice Schweitzer. He is survived by his two brothers and one sister and predeceased by two sisters. Ollie leaves behind six grandchildren Steven, Jesse, Rebecca, Austyn, Paul and Kyana and three great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. As per Ollie’s final wishes there will be no funeral service and he will be laid to rest in Mildmay with his parents. A special thank you to his nieces, neighbours and the girls childhood friends for all their help and support. Thank you to the Bayshore team, Community Care and the Grand River Cancer Clinic.
