Nathen Philip Klisowsky
December 28, 1979 – September 10, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nathen Philip Klisowsky of Dysart and Cupar, Saskatchewan, on September 10, 2022 at the young age of 42. He was predeceased by his Baba (Nellie) and Gido (Michael) Moroz; Grandpa Philip and Grandma Carrie Klisowsky; Mother-In-Law Jeanne Kolody; and cousins Meagan Klisowsky, and Keenan Klisowsky.
Nathen is survived by his parents Brian and Janice Klisowsky; by Melannie Klisowsky and their children Mieko-Blioux (Vanessa), Kalib, Emerson, and Brock Klisowsky; by his siblings Blou (Stacey), Shawn (Melissa), Chad (Kelly), Cortney (Curtis), and Nick; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Nathen was born in Wynyard, SK, on December 28th, 1979. He was the fourth of six children and grew up in Leross SK, moving to Dysart SK in 1986. Nathen’s youth was spent on the farm in Wishart with his Baba and Gido. He spent his summers riding his bike, playing outside with cousins, and Sunday drives with Uncle Rat. At the young age of 4, Nathen’s chatty nature led to his appointment as the honorary town mayor of Leross.
In high school, Nathen played fast-ball and participated in track and field. He also worked at Herb’s Shop and Car Wash. Nathen graduated from Lipton High School in 1998.
After high school Nathen wore many hats; he worked at the Dysart Co-op, Rocanville Co-op, and Memorial Garden’s in Regina. Nathen started his plumbing career with Bill Carter at Modern Propane. Branching out on his own starting K-Sky Plumbing and later joining together with Duce Electric/Plumbing and Heating. As of recently he was plumbing independently.
Nathen took great pride in his yard. There were many evenings you could hear him singing along with whatever music was playing in his ears while he was busy in the garden. He loved to pick rocks which he proudly displayed around his yard, and he spent many days helping people around town cutting grass on his lawn tractor. One of Nathen’s greatest joys was assembling a team for the annual St. Elizabeth’s Slow-Pitch Tournament which he went to every year for many years. He loved to play poker with his family and friends. You could often find Nathen with fireworks at almost every event claiming to be a professional pyrotechnic engineer. Nathen loved to sit around the fire until the sun rose and had many interesting conversations with his brothers and sister. Nathen was the number one arm-chair coach for the Riders and the Blackhawks. He was a proud member of the Lion’s Club in both Dysart & Cupar, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and on the Dysart Volunteer Fire Department.
Mostly Nathen was known to have the biggest smile, the brightest eyes, and the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone around him. He loved his family and children more than anything and was looking forward to meeting his first grandchild in November. He will be missed deeply by everyone.
A celebration of Nathen’s life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Dysart Community Centre at 11:00 am, with a private graveside service to follow later the same day. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Conley Funeral Home, Fort Qu’Appelle, Sk. (306) 332-0555
