Obituary
It is with great sadness for our loss, but gladness within our hearts to know that Marilynn is at peace, that we announce her sudden passing.
Marilynn was born in Toronto, raised in Virden, Manitoba and came to BC in August 1953 at 15 years of age. She lived in the south Okanagan for the rest of her life.
She married Jim Moriarty in 1956, living in Okanagan Falls from 1961 to 1987, then moving to Penticton. They had one daughter Beverley (Bob Martin) and granddaughter Jorie. She was predeceased by Jim in 1987.
Marilynn is survived by her husband Emery Wilson whom she married in 2012, her daughter Beverley (Bob Martin) and her granddaughter Jorie Martin. Her sister Gail (Bob), brother Bruce Mair (Darlene), numerous family, nieces and nephews, as well as Emery’s three children, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren to whom she was G-G. She was predeceased by her brother Ian in 1961.
Marilynn had a great life, a love of horses, managing Sears in Penticton and travelling the world by herself and later in life with Emery. She was a member of Friendship Force International, and the Baha’i Faith.
Marilynn will be remembered and sadly missed. We wished we had more time together, but we will always value the time we did have.
Marilynn will be interred Friday, December 2 at 10 a.m. at the Okanagan Falls Cemetery, followed by a service at 11:30 a.m. at Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1130 Carmi Ave., Penticton with a tea to follow. For a live link to the service visit www.everdenrust.com/obituaries
