It is with a heavy heart that the family shares the passing
of Marc LeBlanc, beloved husband for 43 years to Lorraine LeBlanc
(Gaudet). He left us peacefully upon sunrise surrounded by his loving
family on October 31st, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of Alderic LeBlanc (Carol Traynor) of
Moncton and the late Louise (Burke) LeBlanc.
Other than his father and the love of his life Lorraine, his
legacy lives on through his four kids for whom he was a tremendous
father: Nicolas (Nicole Evers), Julien (Marie-Josée Breau),
Janique (Léo Dignard) and Catherine (Matt
Thériault). He also leaves behind his nine beloved
grandkids for whom he prepared numerous «collations
spéciales de pépère»:
Annabelle, Véronique, Théo, Danica,
Zoé, Louis, Audrée, Daphnée and
Gabrielle; two brothers: Donald (Lynda Couturier) of Beloeil, QC, and
Pete (Lynette) of Moncton; as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Marc was well known in the region after a long career as a
developer in Moncton / Dieppe with his companies ML Rentals, ML
Contractors and finally Tridev. He was highly driven and endearing,
bringing a smile to all those who crossed his path. He had a knack for
making strangers feel like family through his kindness and generosity.
He was always planning and his enthusiasm was contagious. He loved his
golf, good food and his wine. He reaches the 19th hole for eternity
and his presence will be greatly missed. We find comfort knowing his
memory will stay in our hearts and our thoughts through the beautiful
moments we shared with him.
The family wishes to sincerely thank the medical staff who
cared for Marc during his battle including: Dr. Sarah Ironside, Dr.
Jocelyn Cormier, Dr. Dhany Charest and Dr. Andrée Lirette.
Also, the teams from the oncology departments: Dr. Léon
Richard, and Dr. Sheldon H Rubin, and the team from the
Blanche-Bourgeois unit (extra-mural program). The dedicated and
compassionate staff from Albert House. Finally, family and friends who
showed their love and support by bringing food, flowers and cards
which were greatly appreciated.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) where the
funeral service will be celebrated on Friday November 4 at 10:30.
Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm
only. The funeral service will be
streamed live; to view the funeral, go to his obituary on our Website.
In lieu of flowers, in memory of Marc, donations to Albert House and
the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada would be greatly
appreciated.
