Krishan Syal of Edmonton, Alberta passed away at the age of 90. He leaves to mourn his wife of 57 years Madhu. His three children Rajeev (Lorelee), Bina (Sean), Sanjiv (Amber), six grandchildren (Ayden, Reece, Avery, Wyatt, Cooper, Chase), sisters Santosh and Prem as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends of the family.
Our family patriarch was predeceased by his parents Brij Lal and Durga Devi, his three brothers (Dev Kumar, Dharam Pal, Shiv Kumar) and sisters (Sarla, Pushpa).
Dad is remembered by all as a gentle, happy and social man, welcoming to all. He left India in 1959 where he joined his brother in Nottingham, England. Encouraged by his two surviving sisters, he immigrated to Canada in 1963. Married in 1965, Krishan and Madhu formed a family and he continued his professional development, achieving the designation of Masters of Social Work. He enjoyed a career of service with the Federal Government of Canada helping many indigenous people of our country.
