Obituary
Crossley, Kirk Merton – 66 of Hinton AB, passed away at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, surrounded by his loving kids and families on July 22, 2022. Born in Cheverie NS on March 26th, 1956. Kirk was the son of the late Merton and Marion Crossley.
In his early years Kirk enjoyed playing hockey in Brooklyn NS. As he got older, he would move to Granisle British Columbia, then move to Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, where he would work at Quintette Coal Mine, and would later work at other mines. Kirk was an avid hunter of all kinds of game, his favourite thing to do was go on his big hunting trip every year, with hopes of coming home with the “big one”, he enjoyed watching all sports. Kirk was also known as grampa to 3 grandchildren who he loved dearly.
Kirk is survived by his daughter Allison (Paul) of Halifax NS, son Tyler (Dawn) of Hinton AB, and his three grandchildren Ryan, Ava, and Cole. He also leaves behind his sisters Cheryl (Curt) of Alberta/Nova Scotia, Karleen of Ontario, Gina (Kevin) of Nova Scotia and his brother Barclay (Lily) of Ontario, as well as nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kirk was predeceased by his parents and his grandson Casper.
Cremation has taken place, there will be a celebration of life at a later date
