James William ‘Jim’ Scott passed away suddenly at the Palmerston Hospital on Monday, August 8, 2022, in his 83rd year.
Jim was born on May 28, 1940 in Harriston. He was the only child of the late William J. Scott and Glenna Turner, and stepson of Helen Shaw.
Loving husband to the late Patricia (Wilson) Scott. Father of Bill & Carol Scott of Minto Township, Laurie Ann Scott of Clinton, and Heather & Rob Munn of Mississauga.
Grampa of Jim and Janine Scott of Normanby Township, Kale Johncox & Dr. Melissa Bucking of Guelph, Craig Scott & Jessa Ziegler of Clifford, Lucas Munn of Guelph, and Braydon Munn of Mississauga, and great-grandpa of Harlan Dylan Mumby Clooney.
Jim is also survived by sisters-in-law Catherine Coultar & Wayne Riley of St. Thomas, and Isobel Bauman of Stratford.
Jim is predeceased by his oldest grandson, Dylan Mumby (Feb. 2021).
A time for friends and neighbours to say their goodbyes will be held at the Hardy- Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
