November 21, 1929 – September 25, 2022
Irene Mary Gale (92) passed away peacefully Sept. 25, 2022. Irene was born in Robinsons, NL where she lived her entire life.
Irene was predeceased by her devoted husband of (73) years Isaac (Leaman) Gale. She was also predeceased by her loving son Lionel (Craig) Gale.
Also; brother Percy, half-sisters Nancy and Vera.
She is survived by her son Charles (Debbie), daughter Lorraine (Dan) and daughter-in-law Kim.
6 grandchildren – Sonya (Gord), Fabian (Jaime), Angela (Joel), Shawn, Ashley (Andrew) and Hilary.
8 great-grandchildren – Taylor, Mitchell, Terin, Ayden, Riley, Levi, Thomas and Austyn.
Irene was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and especially loved her role as nanny.
Farm girl at heart, she worked hard all her life in our home and helping her parents when they were alive. She loved to cook and made the best bread, equally skilled with knitting and canning. Most weekends you could find Irene enjoying hunting and snowmobiling or going to a dance.
Endless hours were spent playing cards and games, which usually were rather lively.
She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
We wish to thank the staff at Bay. St. George, LTC. for their dedication to our mother/grandmother/great-grandmother.
A service will be held at a later date.
