The death of Gordon Johnson husband of Carol Martin of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, occurred on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 72. Born in Newcastle, NB, the son of the late George Mitchell and Elizabeth Johnson.
He was a medical driver for 22 years.
Besides his wife, Carol, Gordon is survived by daughter: Charlene Denny (Herman Somerville); son: Gregory Denny (Shari Ward); stepchildren: Veronica Denny and Beverly Denny (Wendall Ward); their mother: Renelda Dedam; sisters: Elizabeth Mitchell, Madeline Sylliboy, Elsie Martin (Noel Augustine), Marie Dedam (Edward) and Pauline Tucker (Paul); brother: Vincent Johnson (Diane Simon) all of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; eight grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Gordon is predeceased by son: Kevin Denny; brothers: William and Willis and sister: Theresa.
The family will receive visitors at Gordon’s residence, 739 Mic Mac Road, Esgenoôpetitj on Saturday after 2:00 PM and again on Sunday.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM from St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Esgenoôpetitj. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
