CANN (Robertson) (nee Currie), Georgena Ethel – It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Georgina Ethel Cann on January 26th 2022 at the Garden City Manor in St. Catharines. Gena was the daughter of George and Jane Currie. Born April 30th 1943 in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she lived until marrying her husband Keith Robertson and moving to Ontario to start a family. Predeceased by her parents, brother Phillip, and granddaughter Kristen. Survived by her sisters Joan, Ruth, Rosie and brothers Steve (Regina) and Fred. Gena will be deeply missed by her daughter Elaine and son Ken (Karen) and grandchildren Colin (Aivan), Garret and Lauren. Gena was a lifelong sewer/seamstress working many years at Fabricland. She was happiest at her beloved singer sewing machine. Later in life Gena became a PSW and worked for the Red Cross until her retirement looking after the residence of Niagara. As per Gena’s wishes cremation has taken place. Donations in her memory may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children or Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.
