Dean, Geneva Marina – Age 87 of Brookfield and formerly of Dean, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in VG Site, QE11, Halifax.
Born in Ecum Secum, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Lillian (Fancy) Davidson.
Always full of life, she never let herself be defined by what life threw her way. She loved dancing, bowling, looking good, and skunking anyone brave enough to challenge her in crib. Above all, she loved her family–every generation.
She is survived by brothers, Laurie (Lorna), Halifax; Clyde «Bud», Eastern Passage; sisters, Marie (the late Jack) Malloy, Dartmouth; Wendy (Roger) Doyle, Waverley; daughters, Debbie Perrott (Gary Burrill), Halifax; Sonya McLean, Lincoln, N.B.; son, Trent (Lorraine) Perrott, Brookside; grandchildren, Clayton, Fred, Eva, Rosanna, Tyler, Luke, Emily, Gin; great-grandsons, Denver and Bowen. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bruce Dean, and, in later years, by special friend, Alex Ritchie. She was also predeceased by her step-father, Ken Mulock.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude and immense regard for the exceptional quality of care provided by the staff of Colchester East Hants Health Centre and Victoria General Hospital, and to Geneva’s friends, who helped her live the last years of her life on her own terms.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., in Sharon Presbyterian Church, Dean, with Rev. David LeBlanc officiating. Burial in Dean Cemetery, followed by an opportunity to visit in the Church Hall.
