Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gaston «Gus» Raymond Joseph Brulotte of the Smoky River region on May 13, 2022, at the age of 71.
Gaston was born in High Prairie, AB on October 2, 1950.
Gaston (Gus) was a butcher by trade and an entrepreneur. He owned and operated Lakeview Foods in McLennan; at the end of his career and when he sold the family farm business he retired and went on to pursue many of his other passions.
Gaston tried his hand at farming, was a landlord, and most recently cut and sold firewood. He was a lifelong learner and took many courses in his retirement including wheelwrighting, and knife making. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and «making memories» with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother, Madeleine; his father, Delphis and his brother, Bruce.
Gaston is survived by his wife, Wendy; son, Marc (Kim); son, Neil (Christina); daughter, Krystle; son, Dylan (Amy); son, Marshall (Julie); granddaughters, Sydney, Grace, and Charlee, and siblings; Ethel (Raymond), Juliette, Emile (Pauline), Marcel (Susan), Liliane (Harry), Lucille (Joe) and sister in law Marilynne Brulotte.
A memorial service for the late Gaston Brulotte will be held Saturday May 21, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in McLennan, AB at 1:00pm.
