Passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 27, 2022, Eric Dean McRae of Chesterville, age 70. Loving husband and best friend of Donna McRae (nee Lajoie) for 33 years. Loving father of Jaime Turcotte (Simon), D.J. McRae (Angela), Patricia DeMary, Ryan McRae (Julie), Megan Fuerte (Ryan) and Mark McRae (Mallorie). Dear brother of Mary McRae, Donalda Johnston (Floyd), Peggy Ouderkirk (late Clarence), Peter McRae (Cathy), Carolyn Moke (Randy), Judy Beaudette (Bill) and Steven McRae (Candice). Dear brother-in-law of Muriel McRae, Corrie McRae, John Byvelds, Beverley Ferguson and Bob Lajoie. Poppa will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Blaze, Maddie, Emmitt, Remy, Gracie, Makynlie, Lexie, Avaia, Mackenzie, Regan, Liam, Violet, Evan, Katia, Mear and his great-granddaughter Everly. He was predeceased by his parents Dewey and Keitha McRae (nee Ouderkirk), his sisters Audrey Byvelds and Lois Moak (Walt), his brothers Clare, Dewey and Duncan McRae and his brother-in-law Barry Lajoie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Arrangements
A memorial service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Chesterville on Sunday, November 6th at 2 p.m. followed by a reception. Donations to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Chesterville or the Ottawa Heart Institute would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com.
