The death occurred suddenly at Moncton City Hospital on
Tuesday, November 15, 2022 of Emily Dawn Smallman of Charlottetown
aged 34. Emily was born in Charlottetown on April 2, 1988,
cherished daughter of Bruce and Christine (Bulger)
Smallman.
Loved dearly by her long-time partner of fifteen years, and
fiancé, Marc MacArthur. Cherished, and often tormented, by
her younger sister Kathlene (Robert Richard) who will deeply miss
their playful banter and hugs. Emily also leaves behind her biological
sister Star (Cole) Milton, along with her beloved nephew Everett. Her
love for chocolate was only surpassed by her love of animals. Leaving
behind two fur sisters Mini and Sandy, as well as fur nieces and
nephews Kyro, Ivy, Tsar, and Houdini the hedgehog.
Emily will be forever remembered for her big smile, beautiful
long blonde hair, and as someone who gave unconditional love
and hugs to everyone she met though she might have been using
everyone to get to their
pets.
Emily had such a deep abiding love for her family, uncles,
aunts, Cynthia, Blake, Natalie (Garth), Elaine (Paul), Crystal
(Kevin), Jennifer, Ralph (Carol), Phyllis, Gail (Eric), Ginny (Dana)
and especially all of her cousins who reside in PEI
and across the world, including British Columbia, Quebec,
Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Hampshire, Texas and Australia. She will be
sadly missed by Marc’s family, parents David and Marcella MacArthur,
his siblings Vanessa (Andrew), Jessica (Matt), Alan (Leanna),
grandmother Helen MacArthur. Emily worked at Buchanan Technology and
will be dearly missed by her work friends.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with
visiting hours on Friday 4-7 pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at Corpus
Christi Roman Catholic Church, Glenwood at 10:30 am. Interment to
follow in the Church Cemetery.
In memory of Emily, memorials to the PEI Humane Society or
Corpus Christi Cemetery would be greatly appreciated.
