Obituary of Donald Joseph Macdonald
The death occurred peacefully at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow NS on Saturday, November 26, 2022 of Donald Joseph Macdonald in his 67th year.
Special friend of Caroline Bowden. Loving father of Jonathan Macdonald (Ana Rodriguez), Alberta; Angela Moser, Alberta and Ariel Jeffrey (Noel), Nova Scotia. Grandfather of Hailey MacKenzie and Avery, Noah and Olivia Jeffrey. Dear brother of Carol Longaphie (Allan), Charlottetown, PEI; Joyce Cormier (Real), Summerside, PEI; Jim MacNeill, Charlottetown, PEI; Phyllis MacDonald (Kevin), Bridgetown, PEI; Anna Marie George, Pictou, NS and Barbara Murray Pictou, NS. Remembered by brother-in law Alcide Perry, sister-in-law Thelma MacNeill, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends Lauthie Chaisson and Raymond Pence. Predeceased by his parents Hedley and Ada MacNeill; adopted parents Vincent and Florence Macdonald; siblings Roy MacNeill, Joan MacNeill, Faye Perry and sister-in-law Sharon MacNeill.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Saint James Church, Georgetown PEI on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11:00 am. No public visiting hours will be held. Interment will take place in the Saint James parish cemetery.
Memorial donations in Donald’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
