Carol Ann Burtt Elliott
1946-2022
Family and friends are saddened and shocked at the death of our
exceptional mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Carol Ann
Burtt Elliott, daughter of the late Edwin and Laura Burtt was born in
Upper Hainesville, NB on April 25, 1946 and passed away on November 8,
2022 in Ontario.
Carol had a heart of gold, full of love she shared with all around
her. Her hugs were like no other. I think the word fun and laughter
was invented when she was born. The laughter has been passed down to
her family and friends.
To remember her fills our hearts and eyes with tears, yet warms us
with the memories that will keep her forever in our hearts. She will
not stay in our memories but in our every day lives. Carol you will
never die but live forever in us.
Carol lived the last 30 years in a beautiful little place called
Atikokon, west of Thunder Bay, Ontario, where she worked as a cook at
the White Ottar. There she met many friends including her partner
Denis Duhamel, a gentle giant. They traveled, fished, enjoy the out
doors and built a home for themselves. When you went to visit, the
red carpet was rolled out for you. They were best friends. Here she
gained an extended family who she loved dearly. They lived a quiet and
loving life. Carol cooked many meals, bottled moose and deer meat,
cooked meat pies and so much more.
She is survived by the lights of her life: son Derrick Elliott (Karen)
and daughter Laurie Elliott Marr (Daren); granddaughter Sheri (Alex)
and their son Weston, grandson Lenny and his sons Jaxon and Liam,
granddaughter Brittney (Tyler) and their children Andrew, Eli and
Eden; the father of her children who she never stopped loving and
caring about Donald (Sonny): her sisters Patsy Myshrall (Allan),
Bonita Desroches (late Gene) and might I say the baby of the clan
Debbie-Bug Hill (Bev); many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly;
her partner Denis Duhamel and extended family Monique Duhamel (widow
of Dwight Jansen) partner David Lind, sons Benjamin Duhamel (wife
Sascha and their daughter Rory), Jesse Jansen (wife Joanne and their
son Noah), Joshua Jansen (wife Stephanie and their daughters Vida and
Reya) and Sam Jansen.
She has joined the Heaven circle with Dad, Mom, brother Wayne
(Carolyn) and son in law Leonard.
A Celebration of Life will be held in NB at a later date.
