Carl’s Obituary
Robar, Carl Burton – 1932-2022, of Middleton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the age of 90, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Bloomington, Annapolis Co., he was a son of the late Percy and Hilda Robar. Carl was a barber in the town of Middleton for over 40 years. He also was a member of the Middleton Fire Department for 15 years. Carl was a faithful member of the Middleton United Baptist Church. Carl enjoyed woodcarving and woodworking in his retirement years. Carl is survived by his wife of 68 years, Gloria (Connell) Robar; his three sons, Eric (Heather Singer), Wilmot and their children, Shawn (Meaghan King), Ottawa, ON; Jessica (Andre Cormier), Fort Saskatchewan, AB; Colin (Catriona), East Linton, Scotland; and Branden (Alyssa Sheppard), Middleton; Mark, Calgary, AB and his children, Jason (Kristin Walker), Riverview, NB; and Erika (Shawn Beers), Moncton, NB; and Scott (Lee Nowlin) and his children, Matthew, Catey, and Nathan, all of Lumby, BC; four great grandchildren, Vera Gallant, Riverview, NB; Emelynn and Liam Cormier, Fort Saskatchewan, AB, and Eleanor Robar, Middleton. Several nieces and nephews, as well as sister-in-law, Amanda Robar. He was predeceased by his sister, Pearl (Bud) Wotton and brother, Donald Robar. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the VON Annapolis Valley Adult Day Program or the VON Frozen Meals on Wheels.
