Obituary
Bonny Faye Welygan, Age 64, passed away peacefully with the help of MAIDS at Rosedale hospice on November 29, 2022, after a nearly six-year struggle with stage four breast cancer. She was born February 23, 1958, in Melfort Saskatchewan to Joseph and Hilda Welygan, but spent nearly her entire life in central Alberta and Calgary.
Given the “gift of gab” Bonny was always a natural salesperson and spent her entire career in sales. For Nearly 20 years she was involved in media sales for various Calgary radio and television stations and for the last ten years she sold automobiles. Achieving Salesperson of the Year for Nissan Canada for (three) years. Known for her generous nature and warm, contagious laugh, she was also known to beat to her own drum and live in her own time zone. Rarely on time for anything, it’s ironic that the one thing she was early for was her own death.
She will be deeply missed by her only Son Tyler (Sara) and her three grandchildren Hailey, Jack, and Luke. She is survived by her mother Hilda; her brothers Darwin, Owen (Terry), and Todd; and her sisters Debbie, Terri (Mike), and Jody. She was predeceased by her father Joseph. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
