Obituary
Remember her with a smile today
She was not one for tears
Reflect instead on memories
Of all the happy years
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother and friend, Betty Utigard on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at St. Therese Villa, Lethbridge. A cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held.
In Betty’s own words,
“Leaving to remember me is my children; Carla Stobert & family of Edmonton, Bunny (Rick) Letkeman of Edmonton, and Cindy Wyrostok of Lethbridge. Also leaving behind one brother and his family. Predeceased by my first husband, David “Steve” Wyrostok in 1963; second husband Roy Utigard in 1989; and infant daughter, Helen Wyrostok in 1957. Also predeceased by my four sisters and two brothers, as well as son-in-law, Gus Stobert.
To the Utigard family, I wish to say So Long & Thanks for being my second family. To my remaining friends: See you on the other side- Thanks for the memories. To my grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Thank you for the ride. Also bidding all my nieces and nephews, Adieu!»
«I was blessed to the FULLEST. My work here is done. So Long.”
When I’m Gone
When I come to the end of my journey
and I travel my last weary mile,
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
and remember only the smile.
Forget unkind words I have spoken;
Remember some good I have done.
Forget that I ever had heartache
and remember I’ve had loads of fun.
Forget that I’ve stumbled and blundered
and sometimes fell by the way.
Remember I have fought some hard battles
and won, ere the close of the day,
Then forget to grieve for my going,
I would not have you sad for a day,
But in summer just gather some flowers
and remember the place where I lay,
And come in the shade of evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west
Stand for a few moments beside me
and remember only my best.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Betty Gilberte Marie Bertrand Utigard April 14 1925 September 28 2022 (age 97)..
