Obituary
Beatrice “Tiny” May Rasmussen, age 84, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at her residence outside of Berwyn, AB.
She was born December 17, 1937, on a farm outside of Biggar SK, to Leland Boyne and Jean Ewan Chatterson.
After deciding to go back to school, she was a 1993 graduate of the Peace Regional Outreach Campus. After a previous marriage that resulted in the birth of her first 5 children, Tiny married James “Jim” Rasmussen on February 9, 1974, in Peace River AB. After being wed, the birth of her final two children took place. She worked multiple jobs in retail and hospitality; having worked at Coop, Peace Country Clothing, and finally at the Goose Masters before retiring in 2008/09.
Tiny put her family and loved ones at the core of her priorities; she would watch any grand-kids when a baby sitter was required, never let anyone mess with any member of the family and would quickly speak up in their favor. Having been a farmer’s wife, she was stubborn and the most determined person to achieve the task at hand. Tiny’s hobbies included reading, watching Western movies, and cooking for the Sunday dinners she put on each week.
She is predeceased by her parents, Leland and Jean; her husband, Jim Rasmusssen; her daughters, Debra and Ann Marie; her son, Keith.
She is survived by daughters Diane and Laura; sons Alfred, and Robbie “Rob” (Carrie); and many grand-kids, and great grand-kids.
To honor Tiny’s wishes, a small private gathering of her family and closest friends will take place at a later date.
