Obituary for
Annie Margaret Miner (née Johnson)
May 17, 1941 – July 15, 2022
On July 15, 2022, Mrs. Annie Miner of Mayerthorpe, AB passed away at the age of 81 years.
Annie will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Bill (Jo-Anne) and Steven (Cheryl); daughter, Marion (Gary) Vankosky; grandchildren, Meghan, Mallary (Shane), Gavin, Darren (Steffany), Darcy, Rebecca (Denym) and Hope (Jacob); great-grandchildren, Jordan, Charlie and Luna; siblings, Peggy (Jerry) Chartier, Chris (Linda) Johnson, John (Marilyn) Johnson, Elvira (Terry) Adams; brother-in-law, Charlie (Jeannette) Miner; sisters-in-law, Mina “Honey” Miner, Helen Miner, and Kathy Miner.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank (1998); and granddaughter, Macey Vankosky (2011).
Thank you to the doctors and staff of the Mayerthorpe Healthcare Centre and Pleasant View Lodge for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Annie and the family.
A Memorial Service for Annie will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Anselmo Hall, AB-647 and RR 102. Following the inurnment in Anselmo Cemetery there will be an informal outdoor gathering for family and friends to share their stories and memories of Annie’s life.
In lieu of other tributes, donations would be appreciated to Friends of the Lac Ste. Anne Foundation (PVL arts, crafts, and recreation), Box 908, Mayerthorpe, AB T0E 1N0 or, the charity of one’s choice.
