Born June 3, 1940 in Brantford, Ontario, Marie passed away at
the Guelph General Hospital on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the age of
81 years. Beloved wife of the late Charles Gordon
Elsey. Loved mother of Deborah Marie King; Judith Ann Jones
(Wayne), Patricia Elizabeth King and Shane Steven Roy Elsey.
Proud grandmother of Crenda, Clifford, James, Jessie, Stephanie,
Shannon, Michael, Alana and great grandmother of Keontae, Elizabeth,
Terrell, Elijah, Heaven, Mason, Nevaeh, Wynter, Fontina, Elene,
Scarlett, Memphis, Jaxon, Zeppelin, Alizah, Ainsley, Elliott, Liam and
Nile. Dear sister of James Barker (Carol Anne
O’Brien) and the late Ron Barker (Ann). Predeceased by her
parents William Barker and Alice Barker (nee Smith), and by her
grandson Christopher. Cremation has taken
place.
A memorial service will be held at Lakeside Church, 75
Norfolk Street, Guelph on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 7:00
p.m. All are welcome. Masks are
required. If desired, memorial donations to Lakeside Church
would be appreciated.
