Wright, George Arthur Harrison
George Wright of Thornbury passed away peacefully in hospital on Monday, August 9, 2021.
George was born to Cecil and Elizabeth (nee Harrison) Wright on June 18, 1950 in Pointe-Claire, QC. After George graduated from Lindsay Place High School he attended MacDonald College at McGill, where he earned his Bachelor Degree in Agriculture Economics. George retired after 40 years working as an international trade specialist in both the Diplomatic Service and the private sector. Outside of the office George loved to ski, cycle, golf and travel.
He is survived by his wife, Pat, with whom he just celebrated 45 years of marriage, his two children, Meghan Dukes and Andrew Wright, their spouses Justin and Katie, and two grandsons, Hudson and Teddy. He is also survived by his sister Nancy McLean (Hon. Justice Hugh McLean) as well as countless nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
