Obituary of William F. Kohberger
William F. «Bill» Kohberger Jr. age 69 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Monday August 23,2021 at The Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Bill was born January 31, 1952 in Mahopac, NY the son of the late William F. Kohberger Sr. and Anneliese Stabler Kohberger. He was a graduate of Horseheads High School and received his Associate’s Degree from Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo, NY. Bill married his wife , Catherine A. Magno Kohberger, on October 17, 1998 and they would have celebrated their 23rd Wedding Anniversary this year. He was an avid outdoorsman, member of The Horseheads Elks Lodge # 2297, Pheasants Forever and enjoyed «The Farm». He was a scratch golfer and member of The Horseheads Elks Golf league. After his retirement from Williams Toyota, Bill worked at StateLine in Waverly, NY. In addition to his parents, Bill was pre-deceased by his sister Debbie Slusser on December 19, 2017 and by his brother Eric on December 21,2020. Bill loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. He always put his family first and treasured his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife Catherine ; his children: Jessica and Chris Makley of Rochester, NY , Benjamin and Jamie Kohberger of Corning, NY, Evan Kohberger and Elizabeth Fairchild- Law of Corning, NY , and Kerri and Justin Brooks of Ashland City, TN ; brothers and sisters-in-law: Michael Kohberger and Lynn Woodard of West Elmira, NY , Robin and Mary Beth Kohberger of Newton, NJ , Kyle Kohberger of Elmira, NY and Nikki (Mrs. Eric) Kohberger of Charleston, MA ; sister: Heidi Kohberger of Horseheads, NY; step sons: Bert Conklin and Christine Ash of Central Square, NY , Brent and Angela Conklin of Horseheads, NY Bradley and Shelly Conklin of Horseheads, NY; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Irene McCann of Pine City, NY , Mary Rose and Jerry Bannister of Liverpool, NY , Frances Doane of Elmira, NY, and Joseph and Mary Magno of Elmira, NY ; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins , and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Saturday August 28, 2021 from 2-4 PM.
