The family of William Holinaty, beloved husband of Mary of Canora, sadly announce his passing on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the Canora Gateway Lodge. He was 94 years of age.
No service at this time. A gathering of family will be planned for later summer or fall.
William was born in Poplar Bluff, Saskatchewan on November 26, 1926. He raised his family in Pine River, Manitoba and then settled on a farm by Arran, Saskatchewan. Retired in Canora. William enjoyed farming, gardening with his wife, fishing, hunting, beaver watching, playing cards, playing violin and other musical instruments. Enjoyed spending valuable time with his wife, children, their spouses and families. William is lovingly remembered by his wife Mary, sons and daughters: Alvin (Wendy); Alvina (Bud); Larry (Lorna); Loraine; Holly (Barry); Patricia (Kelvin); Lavina (Jerry); Kelly (Kyla). Along with, 13 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. Survived by his siblings: Emily, Mike, Olga, sister-in-law Anna Mae, and numerous nephews and nieces. He will be sadly missed but not forgotten by his family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at the Canora Gateway Lodge for the outstanding care provided to William and his family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation in his honour can be made to Canora Gateway Lodge.
