Peacefully on Saturday July 24, 2021 at Northumberland Hills Hospital in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Heather Neill for 69 years. Loving father of Pamela (Roger), Gail (Rick), Chris (Mary) and Stacy (Kevin). Grandfather to Courtney, Ken, Julie, Amanda, Tom, Ryan, Chelsea and Cole. Great grandfather to many. Tom was known for saying he “had no regrets”. He lived life to the fullest and was proud of all of his children and grandchildren. Tom drove Transport for 60 years and was proud he had visited every province in Canada and every US state that are drivable during his career. He never had a speeding ticket or an accident. He embraced many hobbies throughout his life including: Coach to baseball teams, Stock car racing, spending time at his cottage, woodcarving plus following the grandchildren’s sports teams and activities. A life well lived and a man well loved. Special thanks to Dr. Cunningham and the nurses at Restorative Care – NHH who Tom liked to say gave him excellent care making the end of his life comfortable. Cremation will be followed by a Private Family Service at Fairview Cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to NHH Foundation or the Northumberland Humane Society.
