WILLIAM PETER QUAPP
October 20, 1925 – August 29, 2021
William (Bill) Peter Quapp, beloved husband of Helen Quapp, passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, August 29, 2021.
He immigrated to Canada with his parents at the young age of two weeks. He was a quiet man of faith and was a regular attender and supporter of the Coaldale Mennonite Brethren Church.
Bill Quapp is survived by daughter Marg Penner (Eric), son Don (Charlotte), and daughter-in-law Ruth Braun (Ray), 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a large extended family. He is also survived by his sister, Elfriede Wiebe (Ben), and brothers Ernest (Mary), Carl, David (Mary) and Arthur (Elfriede). He is predeceased by his parents, Peter and Margaret Quapp, son David, great grandson John Holler, sisters Agnes and Irma, sister-in-law Marlene, brothers Willy, Edgar and John.
Bill and Helen were married on March 18, 1951, celebrating their 70th anniversary this year. They spent their entire married life on the farm north of Coaldale where they raised their children.
Bill was very hospitable and enjoyed gardening, photography, genealogy, Mennonite history, music and computers. He loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him. He will remain in our hearts forever.
A viewing with friends and family will take place on Monday evening, Aug 30, 2021, 7:00 to 8:00PM, at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home, 703 13 St N, Lethbridge, AB
Memorial Service for Bill and Helen is Tuesday Aug 31, 2021, 11:00AM, at Coaldale Mennonite Brethren Church
