William James Heaps
passed away peacefully at home at dusk, on March 10th, 2021 at the age of 81.
He was cremated on March 15th, 2021 and his ashes will be interred in The King City Cemetery.
Loving, kind and generous father of Tanya Leroux and devoted grandfather to Lei-Liu and Max.
Predeceased by his parents Thelma and Joe, sisters June and Janice, sister-in-law Cathy and brothers Fred,and Bob, brothers-in-law David , Bob, Steve and Paul.
Bill passed away on the same day as his mother Thelma, 30 years ago.
Survived by sisters Mary Lou, Nancy and Lila, sister-in-law Heather, brothers Bert , Leo, Allan, Douglas, Michael, Donald and Patrick, and brothers-in-law Art Roberts Sr.,Danny, and Dave, nieces Susan, Kim, Michelle, Karen, Mikaela, Emily Jo, and Alison, Nephews Art Jr., David, Andy, Derrick,Ben, Todd, Darrell, Sean and Andrew and many much loved great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Bill’s life was made richer by his friendship with Don and Sonia Chin, skiing with friends at Beaver Valley and golfing with friends at Beacon Hall and Tropic Bay.
Bill was a man of precision and detail, a member of The Society of Engineers and founder of Armada Golf Cars.
Bill could fix anything and was happiest if it was a golf car, vintage sports car or his farm.
He enjoyed fishing, boating and building cottages on Georgian Bay and in Port Carling.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank Southlake at Home, LIHN and CBI and all of the people who cared for Bill at home this past year.
In remembrance of Bill a donation to the King Township Food Bank (www.ktfb.ca) would be greatly appreciated.
